What is the Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass Program?
Adventure Pass is an online program that allows library patrons to use their library cards to visit area attractions for free.

How does it work?
Once you find the place and the date of your choice, come into the library or email to reserve the pass.  The library will print the confirmation page of your reservation. You will need this pass to present that at the doors along with a valid photo ID to gain access to the venue.

Can I take anyone with me when I go?
Yes! The pass is valid for 2 adults and 2 children. Any other attendees will need to pay regular admission price at the door.

Where can I go with Adventure Pass?
The Baxter Public Library has agreements with Blank Park Zoo and Science Center of Iowa.

How often can I reserve the pass?
You can reserve one pass per venue every 365 days.

If I can’t use the pass the day I reserved it, do I lose my turn for the year?
Reservations may be cancelled through the library up to one business day BEFORE the reservation. To cancel, come into the library or email Patrons who overuse their cancellation priviledge may have their Adventure Pass privilege revoked or paused. When you reserve a pass, no one else can use it, so we ask that you carefully consider before booking.

Please note, the library is closed on Sunday, so Monday passes would need to be canceled no later than 12:00 pm Saturday.

*Cardholders should verify a venue is open before reserving a pass.

If I reserve the pass online, how do I gain entrance to the venue I reserved?
Present this pass at the venue along with a valid photo ID to gain access. The name on the pass must match the name on the ID when the cardholder presents the pass for admission to the venue.

Can I show the confirmation email on my mobile device?
No. You must have the printed pass to enter. If you do not have a printer, you can print your pass at the library.

Can my child reserve the pass?
You must be 18 years of age or older to reserve a pass. Anyone under 18 is not eligible to reserve a pass.

What do I do if I can’t find my printed pass?
Email the library immediately. We will be able to print out the pass for you, or email you a copy of the pass for you to print out.

Is it really free?
It is free to you. Participating libraries purchase the passes and pay to participate in the program.

Will there be more choices for destinations in the future?
Adventure Pass organizers are constantly working to grow the program. More locations may become available in the future.
